Description

Hop on the Sports Basement Ski Bus to Snow Summit (Big Bear Mountain Resort) on Saturdays and Sundays without the hassle of planning, driving, or purchasing all that gear and gas. It’s an early start, but what could be better than taking a morning nap, then waking up in snow country, with a full day on the slopes ahead of you?

Early season (December), the Ski Bus will depart (and return) from only the Sports Basement Long Beach location. As demand and weather conditions permit, additional pick up and drop-off locations may be added.  

Discounted lift tickets are available! Save big on your lift tickets when you bundle them with your Ski Bus ticket. A unique discounted ticket URL from BBMR will sent out with every ski bus confirmation email.

On occasion, bus schedules and pickup locations may be adjusted based on changing demand. In an effort to keep buses running with varying demand, we may move the pickup location for select buses based on need. Affected customers will be notified.

Itinerary

Please do not be late. Bus departures to and from the resort cannot be delayed, due to bus driver safety regulations - buses will depart from the resort at at 4:15pm.

  • 6:30am: Buses depart from Sports Basement Long Beach
  • 3:30pm: Buses become accessible at resort*
  • 4:15pm: Buses depart from resort
  • 6:30pm: Buses arrive at Sports Basement Long Beach**

*Personal gear can be left on the bus, but will not be accessible 9:30am - 3:30pm.

Sports Basement Outdoors Cancellation Policy

For our Ski Bus trips:

Cancellations for the Tahoe Ski Bus must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled departure time in order to receive a refund of 97%. After that, refunds will not be given, but we will accommodate rescheduling of reservations up until noon the day before the trip.

For all overnight trips or multiple day courses:

If we cancel a trip:
While we make every effort to run our scheduled trips, our current climate reality means that some trips may not be safe to run due to circumstances beyond our control. At our sole discretion, we may choose to postpone, reschedule or cancel these trips. If we decide to cancel,  postpone or reschedule a trip,, a trip credit equal to the full amount paid will be issued. If participants are unable to reschedule to another date, a full refund will be provided.
Please note: Rain, snow, nearby fires or smoke are not necessarily reasons we will cancel a trip. 

If you cancel a trip:
For all overnight trips or multiple-day courses, you can cancel more than 30 days before the start of the trip/course and receive a full refund.  Between 30 and 14 days before the start of the trip, you can reschedule your trip for a future date, but no refunds are given. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of the trip,, there are no refunds, cancellations or rescheduling. **
**Exceptions may be available for severe illnesses, injuries, or a death in the immediate family. A medical note from a licensed physician or death certificate will be required. If an exception is made, a fee of  50% of the total trip cost will be charged .

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Discounted rates are only valid for qualifying individuals purchasing a seat on a Sports Basement Bus visit. Lift tickets purchased through the Ski Bus URL, provided after purchasing your seat, are date specific and must be used the date they are assigned to. Any ticket cancelation/changes will be handled by guest directly & BBMR, by calling 844-GO2-BEAR (844-462-2327). Lift tickets may not be resold on BBMR property, or any website or social media platform including, but not limited to, Craigslist, Ebay or Facebook. BBMR is not responsible for any lift tickets lost, stolen or destroyed. Tickets expire at the end of the season and have no value. Bus rates are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discounts. The Ski Bus URL is available to buy tickets up to the day of arrival. When purchasing your lift ticket through the URL, guests will receive a confirmation email for their lift ticket with a unique barcode. Guests will scan their barcode at a pickup box in the base area to print their lift ticket.

Lift Ticket Cancel/Change Policy

Lift tickets cancelled up to 3 full days prior to the scheduled date are eligible for a full refund. Cancelations made within 3 days, up until the day prior to the scheduled date, will result in an Activity Change Voucher being issued for the full value of the activity cost (no fee). Activity Change Vouchers are good for one calendar year from the date of issue. Same-day changes, cancellations, or failure to show up to your activity will result in a full forfeit of your payment.

Liability Waiver

All participants are required to complete an Individual Release of Liability through the
online waiver system EZWaiver. The group leader is responsible for managing the digital waiver system
to verify participants have a signed waiver on file. Please note that a parent/legal guardian is the only
authorized signature for any minor participant (age 17 and under).

If it's more than 48 hours prior to the trip, you can do it yourself by clicking the "Manage this booking" link in your trip confirmation email:

  • To reschedule to another date, click on the "Change reservation date" button and select another date.
  • To cancel your trip, select "Cancel Tickets" to receive a refund of 97% of your purchase price. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the date of the trip. You may reschedule until noon the day prior to your trip.
  • Please be aware that due to a high volume of cancellations, we have passed on the cancellation fee of 3%. This is to keep the prices as low as possible for our ski bus customers.

Yes. Due to the overwhelming demand for the return of the ski bus, in order to take the bus one way you will have to purchase a roundtrip ticket for both your departing day and returning day.

Not currently. Due to staffing constraints, we are no longer able to offer this service. Gear will need to be brought home and then brought to the bus the morning of the departure.

Unfortunately, no. The stores will not be open to accommodate last minute rentals. For last minute rentals you can rent from the Snow Summit Rental Shop.

With no traffic or weather conditions it takes 2 hours from our Long Beach location. With that in mind, we should arrive close to 9AM.

After you sign up, you will receive an email confirmation of where to park at our Long Beach store.

Yep! All of our SoCal ski buses come equipped with bathrooms, WiFi, and electric power outlets.

Lift tickets for Big Bear Mountain Resorts are NOT included, but we offer an exclusive discount when you book your ride with us.

All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult 25 years or older.

If you click on the full date that you are interested in, it will automatically give you the option to sign up for the wait list. If spaces open up, you will be sent an automated message. Waitlist spots are first come, first served, so register as soon as you receive the alert.

Registration closes at 8 pm the day prior to the trip. There are no refunds given to cancellations made within 48 hours of the purchased trip.

The safety of our ski bus passengers is our top priority. We will run the bus rain or shine, but if weather conditions don't allow for a safe drive both to and from the mountain, the trip will be cancelled. You'll be given the option of receiving a full refund or rescheduling your trip to a later date.
